The learning fun continues this summer with another round of fun activities! My 5-year-old, J, is so excited to get everything done.
Each week this summer – I’m whipping up eight projects a week for our nanny to do with the kids. If you’re just picking this up now – check out week 1.
Four Book Projects:
This is one of my 5-year-old J’s favorite books. When he saw it at the library he said, “WHAT!? This is a real book?! I thought it was only on Youtube!”
I wanted to continue the enthusiasm with this cute project from The Way of Art (that bonus, I thought would take some time and concentration).
This is one of MY favorite books. Is it weird that I identify so much with the mamma llama? You know, running upstairs like a crazy person. Telling my kid to stop it with the llama drama.
I found this adorable idea online. I thought it would be another fun way to let the kids get creative.
Now to cover my 2-year-old. I’ve told you how obsessed he is with letters. This is one of his FAVORITE books.
As long as he doesn’t get mad letters are on trees – this cute craft from I Heart Crafty Things should be a hit.
Another fun project from Learn with Play at Home – involving painting and water colors!
Four More Fun Projects:
This adorable craft from Frugal Fun 4 Boys is a great way to teach the kids how to spell their names. For the older kids they get a chance to go above and beyond what they know – by creating their own puzzles.
Upper and Lowercase Letter Matching
Check out this great idea from School Time Snippets.
Apple ABC Matching
I can’t wait for my 2-year-old G to be in ABC heaven with this fun activity from Artsy Momma.
Ice Cream Scoops Spelling
I LOVE this free printable from A Dab of Glue Will Do because we can change the letters of the ice cream scoops – think anything from names to sight words! Score.
Don’t forget to load up on craft supplies you’ll need:
Anyone doing this with me? Which project is your favorite? See you next week for the third week.
