Top 30+ Non-Food, Allergy-Safe Valentine’s Day Cards

There’s nothing more terrifying for an allergy mom than something like Valentine’s Day.

All of the kids in a class bringing who knows what (with who knows what inside it) to share with their classmates.

In the food allergy world, we like to push for no food in the classroom.

I couldn’t find a comprehensive list of non-food Valentine’s Day Card options, but a ton of non-candy lists. Those are great, but even Goldfish and play-doh can cause issues for some allergic kids. That’s where this list comes in – the Top 32 Non-Food Valentine’s Day Cards!

      1. We homeschool, so his classroom is completely accommodating. 😉 Unfortunately, we’ve still run into plenty of challenges in other environments. I think that’s been one of the more difficult parts of parenting a child with food allergies: having to educate others and buck cultural norms. So much in our society revolves around food, especially during holidays. Sometimes it’s hard for those without food allergies to believe that holidays can be fun without it. Often those without food allergies would like to provide a safe alternative, but they don’t know what to give instead. Thanks again for a great post that gives so many ideas for non-food “treats”. It makes my job a little easier. ~Christina
